Belleville Area Museum Annual Quilt Show March 1st through March 28th

This March, the Museum is thrilled to announce the return of the much-anticipated Quilt Show for the first time since 2019. The exhibit will run from Friday, March 1st through Thursday, March 28th, offering a unique opportunity for quilt enthusiasts and newcomers alike to explore the artistry and tradition of quilting.

The quilts will be displayed every Tuesday from 4 pm to 7 pm and every Wednesday through Saturday from 12 pm to 4 pm throughout the month. Adding to the excitement, the Museum will host bed-turning presentations on March 2nd, 16th, and 23rd. These presentations, scheduled for 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm, will offer attendees a closer look at the intricate patterns and stories woven into each quilt. It's a rare chance to see the quilts unfold and hear the fascinating tales behind them, narrated by knowledgeable presenters.

In addition to the quilt show, the  Western Wayne County Quilting Guild, in collaboration with the Belleville Area District Library, invites the younger generation to get hands-on with the craft at the Youth Sewing Workshop on Saturday, March 9th.

This workshop is a fantastic opportunity for youths to learn sewing skills, unleash their creativity, and start on their quilting journey under the guidance of experienced instructors. Take advantage of this cultural highlight of the year at the Museum. Whether you're a seasoned quilter, an admirer of textile arts, or looking for a family-friendly activity, the Quilt Show and Youth Sewing Workshop promise an enriching experience for all.
