The Wayne County Department of Public Services has advised that there will be construction on Haggerty Road, (From South Van Born to North Ecorse Road) which is scheduled to begin on or around January 4, 2024. The project includes the reconstruction of the road and replacement of the water main.  It is anticipated that the road will fully reopen to traffic in Fall 2024 with final completion in Summer 2025. 

During the construction project, Haggerty Road will be closed in one direction at a time with sufficient detour signs to guide motorists around this area.  It is anticipated that there will be intermittent stoppages and increased traffic congestion in and around the project area during this time.
