Forgotten Harvest Food Pick-Up Moves to Ted Scott WCCC Campus


Van Buren Township is partnering with Wayne County Community College to facilitate a new pickup location during the construction of the upcoming Community Center at Van Buren Township Hall. Beginning Tuesday, September 20th, Forgotten Harvest will be providing food at the Ted Scott Campus of Wayne County Community College

The dates for pickup will be changing as well. Beginning September 20th, 2022, pickup dates will be every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month instead of weekly. 

Vehicles are encouraged to enter from Haggerty Road just South of Tyler Road and will be able to begin lining up at 1:00 pm. The Ted Scott Campus of Wayne County Community College is located at 9555 Haggerty Road, Van Buren Township, MI 48111

You will need to fill out a brief registration form if you are not already registered.  Volunteers will load the food into your trunk, so please make sure trunks are free and clear of belongings. If you need to pick up food for another family or neighbor, please provide a name, address, and the number of people living in the household and /or the number of senior citizens in the household (if applicable). Volunteers make this event possible! If you would like to volunteer, please call the Van Buren Township Senior Center at 734-699-8919.
