Environmental
Commission
· Introduction
The purpose of the
commission is to act as an advisory body and recommending body to the Board of
Trustees on all matters pertaining to the environment.
The commission meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, and
meetings are open to the public. If
you are not able to make a meeting but would like to know what was discussed,

· Membership
The commission’s eight
members consist of six representatives from the community, one member of the Van
Buren Township Board, and one Belleville High School student.
The members are appointed by the Township Board, upon recommendation from
the Supervisor.
